Top Reasons to Have Engagement Photos Taken

To me, there’s something extra special about taking engagement photos. Whether it’s capturing the proposal or a session with a theme or significant location—I love seeing the expressions of love and happiness that radiate from the newly engaged couple.

When you get engaged, you experience a happiness like never before. There’s nothing quite like knowing that you and the person you love most in the world are truly committing to each other, and are about to embark on the journey of a lifetime together. These are feelings that I believe are meant to be captured and celebrated because these are feelings you’ll never want to forget. That’s where a photoshoot comes in. Photos are the perfect way to remember and relive those feelings and moments that happen all too quickly. And today I’m more on my top reasons for having engagement photos taken. Check out the list below for more details.

TO CAPTURE THIS AMAZING FEELING

“I CHOOSE YOU. AND I’LL CHOOSE YOU OVER AND OVER. WITHOUT PAUSE, WITHOUT A DOUBT, IN A HEARTBEAT. I’LL KEEP CHOOSING YOU.”

Getting engaged brings on a number of amazing feelings. Such as happiness, excitement, and more love in your heart than ever before. And trust me when I say that these feelings and this special time in your life is something you’ll want to remember for the rest of your life. Photos are the perfect way to capture these feelings and to always remind you of your wonderful engagement.

TO CELEBRATE

“ONCE IN A WHILE, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF AN ORDINARY LIFE, LOVE GIVES US A FAIRYTALE.”

If you ask me, an engagement calls for a celebration—a celebration of your relationship and your future. Photoshoots are the perfect way to do so. Whether you want to head to a location that’s special to you as a couple, or have a photoshoot in the home that will soon be yours as husband and wife, you can easily set up a shoot that’s customized and celebrates you.

TO ANNOUNCE THE MILESTONE

“THE MOST WONDERFUL THING I DECIDED TO DO WAS SHARE MY LIFE AND HEART WITH YOU.”

Once you’re ready to announce your engagement, a photoshoot is fun way to do so. Put on your favorite outfits, head to the place where you got engaged, or make the shoot have your favorite theme. You can also include props such as signs or letterings to write a message such as “She Said Yes” or “We’re Getting Hitched”. Also, don’t forget to show off the beautiful ring.

FOR YOUR SAVE THE DATES & INVITATIONS

“I LOOK AT YOU AND SEE THE REST OF MY LIFE IN FRONT OF MY EYES.”

Engagement photos are a great way to spruce up your save the dates and invitations. I love how added photos give them a really personal touch and really show off the couple’s happiness. Try adding a text overlay to your favorite photos or include a sign or banner in your photos.

TO DISPLAY AT YOUR WEDDING

“YOU ARE MY TODAY, AND ALL OF MY TOMORROWS.”

Photos make a beautiful, personal display at any wedding. Whether put in frames, hung as garland, or pinned on a cork board, your wedding guests will love looking at your photos and you’ll love the personal touch it adds to your ceremony and/or reception. Depending on your display, you may even be able to take them home to newly display on a wall, shelf, or above the mantel.

This is such a monumental time in your life, and I can’t wait to help you capture these most special moments. Whether you’re looking to have the actual proposal photographed, or are looking to do a styled shoot, I am happy to help you put together the photoshoot of your dreams.
